Please use this form to volunteer as staff for the 2027 3rd Rock Regional. You’ll either be assigned to the Rocky Mountain Regional or the Colorado State IDPA Championship.
The matches will take place over the Memorial Day weekend, May 27-30, 2027, in Palisade, Colorado, at the Cameo Shooting and Education Complex.
The Staff will shoot Thursday and Friday (May 27-28)
The Main Matches will be Saturday and Sunday (May 29-30)This form is to gather information for potential staff members. If you are approved as staff, you will be moved into the match and you’ll receive a notice from PractiScore to complete your registration information. This will be your confirmation you have been added to Staff. Registration will open for main match competitors on January 3, 2027.
The 3rd Rock event requires a higher level of stamina compared with other IDPA events. You will be shooting 12 stages on Thursday & Friday and then working 12 stages on both Saturday & Sunday. The elevation is 4700′, the weather will likely be sunny with temps in the high 80’s. If none of that presents a physical challenge for you, then we very much appreciate your desire to join the 3rd Rock Staff. We value your commitment of your time and skills. We will pay a travel stipend of $250 to certified CSO’s and SO’s who live more than 50 miles from Cameo. Stipend will be paid on Sunday May 30th.
