The RMR is half of our larger event that we call ‘The 3rd Rock Regional’. The second half of the 3rd Rock is the Colorado State IDPA Championship (CSC). Both the RMR and the CSC will be IDPA Tier 4 matches. Competitors will earn 3 Nationals match points for each match. Both matches will have 12 stages plus chrono. The round count for each match will be approximately 216.
The way we register for the Colorado State match is to clone the RMR around mid February (depending how full the event is). After we have done that, you will have the opportunity to change your division if you want to shoot a different gun. Remember, on the negative but also good side, if you DQ on your first match, you can come back and redeem yourself on the 2nd day, so your travel expenses are not wasted!
STAFF
This will be the third year we have hosted the 3rd Rock Regional. It is a big undertaking by a medium sized gun club. We would not be able to do it if it were not for the awesome volunteer Safety Officers who have come from all over the country to help us. We will not open the match for registration until we have a solid cadre of CSO’s and SO’s. Would you be willing to help staff the event? We pay a travel stipend of $250 for CSO’s and SO’s who live more than 50 miles from Cameo. Checks will be passed out on Sunday, May 24. We need you to arrive on Wednesday, May 20. We like to do stage walk thru’s with the CSO’s starting at 1 pm on Wednesday and have all the Staff attend the Staff Meeting, Wednesday, 5:30 pm at the Quality Inn on Horizon Drive. SCHEDULE
Pre-Match (Staff Shoot) – 8 am, May 21 and 22. A limited number of slots will be available for competitors to shoot with staff. Call Walt if you would like to do that: 970-985-1372.
Main Match – 8 am, May 23 and 24
Awards Banquet – 6 pm, Cameo Ballroom – Sunday May 24

REGISTRATION
We plan to open registration January 4, 2025 at 6 pm MST. The $300 match fee will cover both the RMR, the CSC, and the Awards Banquet. Half price for Juniors.
REFUND POLICY
We will refund in full (minus processing fees) thru April 1.
NO REFUNDS AFTER APRIL 1.
FOOD
We don’t stop for lunch. There will be water and snacks available in the shooting shelters. If you have special dietary needs, please bring what you need. In the past, we usually finish shooting between 2 and 3 pm both days.

AWARDS AND PRIZES
Awards for both matches will be presented at the Awards Banquet. If you cannot attend, please arrange for someone to collect your award. A $20 shipping fee will apply for any unclaimed awards. Mail a check for $20 to Scott Martin, PO Box 4584, Grand Junction, CO 81502.
Raffle Prizes: Drawing will take place at the Awards Banquet. We usually have A LOT OF GUNS! You must be present to win. No exceptions. Other sponsored gifts will be passed out by the “prize patrol” during the match.
