Action Pistol Group (APG) provides a Concealed Handgun Permit (CHP) Renewal course that meets all State of Colorado requirements for renewing your CHP. Students are expected to know, and be able to comply with the NRA or Colonel Cooper’s, Rules of Gun Safety. If you have not trained with your firearm periodically, we recommend you take our Basic Pistol with CHP class. The CHP Renewal Class includes instruction on changes to Federal and State Laws related to firearms; a written competency exam; a live-fire exercise; and is conducted in person by a Mesa County Verified Instructor.
TRAINING SCHEDULE 
Students should bring the following equipment A firearm in good condition that has been cleaned and lubricated. Magazines (minimum two mags, three preferred). 50 rounds of ammunition. Eye protection and electronic hearing protection (electronic ear muffs are available to rent from APG for $10 per day). Ear plugs or barrier ear muffs will not be acceptable for the class. A holster is NOT required.
Schedule We have five CHP Renewal classes scheduled in 2026. Our Basic Pistol with CHP class also meets all the requirements to renew your Colorado CHP. Classes are held at the Cameo Shooting and Education Complex – Loft and Bay 14. The fee for the Renewal Class is $75 per person.
Registration Deadline We ask that you register and pay for the class in advance. Class size will be limited to eight students. Minimum class size is four students. Students may be rescheduled to the next class if we don’t get enough students. Register early! REGISTER & PAY
